During the presentations, attendees got to see how Omega 365’s platform manages every stage of a project, from initial studies and design to construction and ongoing operations.

Attendees explored real-world scenarios and gained insights into how the platform enhances efficiency and streamlines workflows. The event featured a unique format of short presentations and comprehensive live demonstrations of Omega 365’s project and asset management platform.

"We will, in fact, be doing live demos for three to four hours. We're excited, ready to go, and eager to show everyone what we can offer," said Kenneth Steinsvik, President of Omega 365 Canada, at the start of the conference.

Platform capabilities in focus

At the start of the conference, Corporate Communications Manager Lauren McPherson Simonsen and Business Development Manager Graeme Erskine welcomed attendees and shared insights into the company’s values and focus on customer success.

“As important as who we are as a company is how we are. My 2,200 colleagues, including over 550 software employees worldwide, embody our slogan: ‘Big enough to deliver, small enough to care.’ Today, we look forward to celebrating what we have achieved together and exploring future collaborations,” said Simonsen.

A key part of the day was a series of live demonstrations led by Arvid Markhus, Vice President of Business Development at Omega 365 Canada, Kenneth Steinsvik, President of Omega 365 Canada, and Jan Christian Brataas, Chief Technology Officer at Omega 365.

“The live presentations were the right thing to do. I think we have to push ourselves and just dive in, and that’s what we do in every client presentation. We don’t bore them with PowerPoint slides; we do live demonstrations to show that we know what we’re offering — a solution that actually works.  It’s fast, logical, and easy to demonstrate. The team really helped with setting up demo data, and we had support from the Core team and many different offices. It was truly a team effort,” said Markhus.

During the presentations, attendees were guided through a fictional battery factory project, demonstrating how Omega 365’s platform manages every stage of a project, from initial studies and design to construction and ongoing operations.

The demonstrations showcased features like Document Management for efficient handling of project documents, Cost Management for accurate financial oversight, and BIM integration for advanced visualization through digital twin technology. Additionally, the live sessions highlighted Omega 365’s capabilities in Change Management and Risk Management, ensuring projects stay on track and potential issues are mitigated.

The event featured a mix of presentations and live demonstrations of Omega 365’s project and asset management platform.

Insights and future roadmap

In the closing session, Jan Christian Brataas presented Omega 365’s roadmap, emphasizing ongoing developments, agility, and Omega 365’s vision for the future. He highlighted the company’s dedication to both Omega 365 and Pims products, focusing on scalability, security, and simplifying the user experience for project and asset management technology.

“Focusing on the word 'simplify' may seem unusual in a complex field like ours, but it's essential. Simplifying the user experience makes our tools more accessible and effective, empowering clients to manage their projects efficiently and securely, even as they scale,” said Brataas.

The conference concluded with a networking event at Garage Sports Bar, where attendees had the opportunity to connect with Omega 365 team members and other software users in a more informal setting.

“We’ve already received a lot of follow-up requests from some of our existing clients. The feedback we’re getting is that this kind of conference is something other vendors don't typically do. So, I think we should take that and build on it for next year,” said Steinsvik.
