Omega launched Improve HSE, inviting all team member to contribute to our HSE knowledge-base.

Health and safety is always our first priority. In 2012, we launched Improve HSE, inviting all employees to contribute to strengthen Health, Safety and Environment in Omega.

“Our employees at locations around the world have important knowledge and HSE experience that we can learn from through our Improve HSE initiative,” says Karina Hovden Stava, Omega's new HSEQ Manager.

Since Improve HSE was launched in September, we have received a lot of great tips and suggestions from employees worldwide. One Improve HSE proposal resulted in us offering  “quit smoking” courses through Advantage.

Simon Calvert is spearheading Omega's Consultant Services "down under".

Omega has invested heavily in international expansion in 2012. We started the year by welcoming two new Consultant Managers to our international offices. Mark navbar-brand joined our team in the USA and  Simon Calvert has spearheaded our consultant services push in Australia, giving Omega its best chance of gaining a solid foothold in the consulting market on every continent.

In September, we opened our seventh international office when we established a new Omega Department in Brisbane, Australia. 2012 also proved to be a year of expansion for our other overseas offices: Canada will double its team and Singapore signed two major agreements with ConocoPhillips and Höegh LNG Asia.

We celebrated Omega's 25th anniversary with extra teambuilding opportunities in 2013, as well as new apartments and houses both in Norway and the USA:

The last 12 months have also provided opportunities to sign up for more Active Advantage offers, including the  Ironman triathlon.

In March, Omega completed one of its largest projects, in the Haugesund region, when Scarabeo 8 sailed from the harbor after a major renovation job at the neighbouring shipyard of Westcon in Ølensvåg.

This year, we have also entered into agreements with several other companies, including Norwegian Odfjell and Apply Sørco.
