The new employees will work in system development and client relations. Lars Kjebekk is team leader for the Stjørdal office and is very pleased with the expansion.

“For the Stjørdal office, this means that we go from being 7 employees to 12, which in turn gives us more capacity and expertise. In addition, it’s a great advantage that many of the new employees have a local connection and we lower the average age of the team," he says smiling.

Bjørn Erik Alstad Koen is one of the new additions to the team.

"I chose to apply for a job in Omega 365 because I had gotten to know the team at the Stjørdal office through my girlfriend and they seemed to be a very nice group. What they were working on seemed very interesting and rewarding, and I had also heard a lot of good things about Omega 365 as a workplace and as a company," says Bjørn Erik Alstad Koen.

All five have a Bachelor's degree in Games and Experience Technology from Nord University and have experience from their own game start-up.

"We are former classmates and had our own gaming company for a year," says Jonas Gabriel Kongshaug. Here in Omega 365, it will be very interesting to learn about the way the network works, and get to know more about other systems and how they are built up. It is also generally cool to learn about the systems that large parts of today's society are built on," he says.

Kjebekk sees their background as exciting.

"The plan was initially to hire one person from the company, but we ended up hiring as many as five!”

The experience and knowledge in game development should come in handy in the Omega 365 system, and Óttar Jónsson sees many parallels.

"Learning new things has always been exciting, and everything we have learned so far is very interesting, especially regarding databases and SQL. I am very much looking forward to continuing with my training and learning new ways to solve problems. Game development has similarities to the tasks in Omega 365, as it always boils down to finding solutions to challenges, which I like very much.”
