Pablo Tveita and Rita Arntsen joined Omega as Consultant Managers in September.

Third Consultant Manager in Bergen

Rita Arntsen joined Omega's Bergen office in September. She brings to Omega extensive experience from sales, personell management and engineering. Arntsen (48) is originally from Harstad, but has been a living in Bergen for a number of years. She first got to know of Omega through her former colleague, and now fellow Consultant Manager in Bergen, Vibeke Monsen Snarberg.

A Machine Engineer and Economist, Arntsen has previously worked as a Contract Engineer with offshore pumping systems supplier Frank Mohn, a Sales Engineer with property and maritime concern Ulstein Frydenbø AS, as well as spending four years as Service Coordinator and Project Manager at Siemens. Before she joined Omega, Arntsen was employed by Manpower, and therefore boasts a solid platform of experience in assisting consultants.

“In building a new portfolio of consultants in Omega, I get to do what I like best; talk to people, get to know people and make sure they are taken care of. Having worked both for and in an employment agency, I know both sides of the business. I know what is important and the value of feeling that you are taken care of, ” says Arntsen.

Expectations

Arntsen's new colleague, Pablo Tveita (38), shares Arntsen`s priorities in his new job. Since 1994, Tveita has worked in sales as part of the Hatteland Group, in product development, as a Product Manager and a Sales Engineer. He was well-aquainted with Omega, having lived in the municipality of Vindafjord for many years.

Tveita is now prepared for more client requests, consultants and harder competition.
“With recent oil discoveries and exectations for higher activity in the industry, we expect to have more job requests coming our way. At the same time, there will also be tougher competition for consultants,” says Tveita.

Well positioned

Colleague Arntsen agrees, and points out that Omega is well prepared to attract new talent by offering advantages that few consultant companies can compete with.

“Of course, we always wish there were more candidates than positions, but no one has access to all the personell they need right now. Omega however, has important advantages when recruiting consultants. Many praise the company, and I feel many consultants actually approach us. They notice that we take care of them, and that is a significant strength,” Arntsen explains.

Tveita has a similar impression after just over a month in his new job.

“There is no doubt that Omega is well positioned in the market, much thanks to our employees who are the best ambassadors we have. They do an amazing job with clients, and that is our best marketing. I think it is quite remarkable that, in the course of all the years I have known Omega, I have not once heard a negative word about the company from any of the 800 people working here. Considering that 99 per cent of our employees get job tips from colleagues and friends, that is a pretty amazing achievement,” Tveita says.
