Led by general manager Vadim Narožnij, the Lithuanian team of around 60 professionals plays a central role in Omega 365's global strategy. Highlighting the strategic importance of this growth, Vadim explains how the team’s hard work and dedication to innovation has played an important role.

“High competence levels of our Lithuanian team have allowed the office in Klaipėda over the years to take over full responsibility for the Pims R4 product version management: development, maintenance, packaging, and support. The organization has proved the capability to ensure quality, stability, and upgradeability of the products in scope, which in turn has earned even more trust from the corporate management, providing new challenges with other software product suites such as Omega 365 and Pims R5. These challenges and new responsibilities are the reason behind our ambitious growth plans here in Klaipėda,” explains Narožnij.

Focus on new talent

Supporting this expansion is Omega 365 Lithuania's focus on talent development. This aspect is evident in initiatives such as the Appframe Certification Program (ACP), which plays a crucial role in integrating new talent into the company’s diverse projects.

“Each new Software Systems Developer joining the team completes the Appframe Certification Program, a training course that enables the new employee to quickly and independently learn all specifics of Omega 365’s Technology framework, Appframe,” says Adrijana Pavilionytė, who works as a Talent Acquisition and Development Specialist at Omega 365 Lithuania.

“This also makes it easier to identify the level of technical skills of the newcomers, understand their areas for improvement, and thus integrate them more easily into the projects and daily tasks performed by the company, while maintaining the high quality of services provided. It is also important to note that, considering the IT market in Lithuania, a significant number of candidates come requalifying from other disciplines. These candidates are recommended to complete the ACP training even before joining the company. This provides an accurate assessment of the candidates' technical knowledge, motivation, and other aspects, and gives them the opportunity to successfully work as software developers,” she continues.

For Omega 365 Lithuania, this growth phase is also viewed as an opportunity to enhance their engagement with the local community in Klaipėda. The company has consistently advocated for bridging the gap between academic learning and the practical demands of the technology sector.

“It is important to emphasize that educational institutions must respond to the needs of business, as business is a social customer of such institutions. We constantly communicate with educational institutions to ensure their training programs meet the needs of modern IT business and promote successful integration of students into the labor market,” says Narožnij.

“To draw as much attention as possible to the needs of business and find mutual synergy with educational institutions, we actively participate in events organized by Klaipėda University, as well as initiating events for students ourselves, such as representational conferences, open-door days, and more. We engage in close cooperation with the colleges located in Klaipėda, participating in their career days, reviewing their study programs, and providing practice places and similar activities.”

Encouraging continuous learning

As Omega 365 Lithuania gears up for significant growth and expansion, the focus is not only on increasing the team size but also on reinforcing their commitment to being at the forefront of technological innovation in the IT sector. This growth phase is viewed as a stepping stone towards making greater contributions in the technology sector.

“Omega 365 in Lithuania is already considered a very interesting employer among IT specialists, especially in Klaipeda, partly because of its Scandinavian culture and partly because of its international profile, which allows young professionals to work with different, sometimes very remote, projects and gain invaluable experience. They can even travel to those locations and see the world from a real non-touristic perspective,” says Narožnij.

“The benefit of Omega 365 Lithuania as a career choice is the strong, technically advanced, yet very friendly and supportive team in Klaipeda. This team provides enough challenges for growth and also offers support for the less experienced newcomers to follow this complex and rewarding path. There are options virtually for any type of personality: technology positions for true geeks, product teams for those who like to solve world problems, and client-facing positions for those who like to communicate and are able to represent the company. In any case, being in the IT business, especially in software development, is a journey of continuous learning and innovation. At Omega 365 Lithuania, we believe in fostering a culture of curiosity and creativity. We encourage our employees to take on new challenges, learn new technologies, and think outside the box. This not only helps with personal growth but also contributes to the overall success of the company. We are committed to creating a work environment where everyone feels valued and can thrive. Our goal is to continue to be a leader in the IT sector, and we know that our employees are the key to achieving this,” says Narožnij.
