800 employees cause for celebration and cake.

16 June it was time to celebrate the 800 employee mark with cake in Omega`s office in Ølensvåg. 120 new team members joined Omega in 2010, and another 60 have joined us the last six months.

Double Omega

"Entering 2011 we were 745, and we just passed 800 employees this summer. We wish all new team members welcome, as it is the Omega network of employees and the job every one of us do, that get us new assignments. The experience clients and colleagues have when working with us is what makes us move forward," says Omega Chief Executive Officer Petter Aalvik.

With a team of more than 800 in 2011 Omega has doubled its number of employees in five years. By the end of 2006 Omega had 400 employees. And even though the increase has varied, it has been a steady rise every year.

Number of employees since 2005

2005 274
2006 400
2007 478
2008 605
2009 624
2010 745
2011 (mid June) 800

More demands

And 2011 has already reached another top, not only when counting employees.

"The demand is at an all-time high, and this goes for both the systems- and consultants part of Omega. The demand for our services has grown parallel with the size of the company, even during the years of crises in 2008 and 2009 when many others experienced reduction," says Aalvik

In June Omega was a awarded a new three year frame agreement with Statoil for technical services, and still the need for Omega services will increase as new assignments may be within reach.

"Following this frame agreement we have to grow even more to still be big enough to deliver. In addition we are working on several exciting tender processes that can give us further access to new assignments. "
