"Kvassen", Omega`s 34 ft flybridge cruiser, is a delightful oppurtunity for Omegas tema members to enjoy a day at sea.

As a new employee at Omega, I was delighted to secure a mid-summer booking of “Kvassen”, Omega's 34 ft flybridge cruiser.

We already had our certificates of boatmanship, and the training session with Terje Lunde was pretty manageable, even though the boat is large and heavy. My childhood friends from Oslo were quick to sign up as soon as they got the offer to ship.

Our route for the trip was: Ølensvåg - Husnes - Bekkjarvik - Bakkasund - Aarbakka, Tysnes - Rosendal - Ølensvåg

We met nice people and great service everywhere we went! In Bakkasund we delivered the fish we had caught to the neighbouring boat, and delicious seafood was returned to us. Moving on to Aarbakka, we got to know the locals and had a great night there. We visited the famous Barony in Rosendal, and also found time for Sunndal and the Bondhusvatnet lake. Our fishing fortunes were the best in Austevoll, and we smoked our mackerel with great success. Wine, however, is best made by the French, so we brought that with us.

The boat worked well in all kinds of weather and the plotter showed us the way. When the laptop needed a break, we also had charts to help us navigate. Side winds were one of our challenges, but the side propellers helped us stay on course.

Thanks for a first-class boating trip!
