The conference was attended by 2 800 industry suppliers and professionals, offering numerous networking opportunities. The Omega 365 team met with over 160 suppliers and major companies from the energy, oil, and gas industries. Emma Ireland, General Manager of Omega 365 Australia, is thrilled with the outcomes of the conference.

Facts and science

This year’s theme was the new energy economy, a topic that was well enforced in each session. Technical presentations and speakers highlighted that the future of the energy economy will be powered by gas, Ireland reports, as major industry leaders took the opportunity to indicate their commitments to being the pioneers of the energy transition.

“One keynote speaker made a great comment that the future of energy will be based on ‘facts and science, not ideology and wishful thinking’,” Ireland says.

Sharing knowledge

“Many attendees were encouraged by recent government announcements about the need to advance more gas and mining projects to meet local demand,” Ireland continues.

“It was encouraging to speak to our competitors and fellow suppliers. The conference is one of those great events where people are eager to talk to each other and share lessons learned and market knowledge,” she says.

Ireland found the conference to be successful and will follow up on leads with companies interested in Pims and Omega 365 solutions, as well as services from Consulting and Subsea.
