Upgrading the Pims Risk Management tool

Omega's Pims Risk team of Arild Røksund, Sigurd Bell, have been busy improving their Risk Management product, and Statoil reports that they are ready to roll out the result of the new version.

The Pims Risk module will be upgraded 21st of December. This upgrade involves going from a Statoil specific solution to the standard product version of the tool.

“The upgrade is a result of cooperation between process owner Project Development process, chief engineer PRO PMC, TEX petech and SSU, “ says Hege Dybvig Andersen, leading advisor project risk management.

“In addition we have had several user representatives testing the new version and giving their feed back. Both DPN, TPD SSU, PRO, GBS and MPR have contributed. Omega, the provider of the tool, has also been flexible and solution oriented,” Andersen proceeds.

    - Register and report all impact dimensions
    - Production is included as impact category (part of STEP and focus on production attainment)
  • Improved user interface
    - Improved menus
    - Easier to filter reports
