Local and international design with Omega

With Omega as its new majority shareholder and active owner, the Filter organization has expanded its services and moved to a new office location in Ølensvåg. Together, the companies will establish a creative hub in the district for design and communication.

Filter currently has five employees. Their Department in Etne will be moved to Ølensvåg, while the Department in Sand will remain. From left: Terje Hodne, Judith Sørhus Litlehamar, Per Kristian Grindheim, Marianne Ågotnes og Astrid Eidhammer Hjelmeland.

“Traditionally, the major players in design and communication are based in larger cities. Filter’s identity will remain and we will continue to work closely with existing and new clients, offering professional design and communication services to clients in the Etne, Vindafjord and Ryfylke regions of Norway. With a new owner and an expanded organization, Filter will become more accessible to a larger market,” says Filter design og kommunikasjon’s CEO, Astrid Eidhammer Hjelmeland.

Filter currently has five employees and delivers services within web and graphic design, communication, branding and content marketing to customers in Ryfylke and the inner Haugalandet area. As a new subsidiary company in Omega, the communication agency’s department in Etne will move to Ølensvåg; the office in Sand will remain to service local clients.

More interactive solutions

As well as becoming the majority shareholder in Filter, many of Omega’s departments and subsidiaries will also become some of Filter’s largest clients.

“Filter’s core business remains unchanged, but we have expanded our capacity to deliver web design and interactive solutions for clients such as Omega. Together, can we offer clients improved possibilities within the design of system and web solutions. We will build a strong environment for design and communication,” says Hjelmeland.

With Omega onboard, Filter remains grounded in the local market and looks forward to the opportunity to deliver expertise to a wide-range of clients, especially in the local market.

“Omega is an expansive company with both national and international operations, which still places great emphasis on local development. Filter will be a secure partner for clients and having Omega behind us will provide us with the ability to gain an even stronger foothold in the region,” suggests Hjelmeland.

“A boost for Omega”

With Filter onboard, Omega’s design expertise is significantly improved. Omega’s Communications Manager, Lauren McPherson Simonsen, is excited about the possibilities Filter will offer Omega’s companies and clients, in Norway and around the world.

“Filter has experience from many different sectors and expertise within all the key areas of design and communication. In cooperation with Omega’s technology and systems teams, together we can build a solid pool of expertise of an international standard that will be available to our own company, but also to other businesses in the region,” says Simonsen.
