Frame agreement with RWE Dea Norway

The Norwegian subsidiary of German oil and gas company, RWE Dea, has entered into a frame agreement with Omega. Omega is now a apart of RWE Dea's operations as they gear up for expansion and production, following a number of larger discoveries on the Norwegian Shelf in recent years.

Consultant Manager for Omega in Oslo, Gunn Tollefsen, signed the contract with RWE Dea just before Christnas 2012.

Omega's agreement is three years with an additional two-year option. RWE Dea Norge  will utilize Omega’s services within a number of disciplines including Project Management, Procurement & Contract Management, Document Control, LCI Management,   Project Control, Engineering, HSE, QA and MC.

"We are excited to join their team as RWE Dea Norway prepares to increase their activity having participated in several, large discoveries along the Norwegian Coast,” says consultants Manager for Omega in Oslo, Gunn Tollefsen, who signed the agreement just before Christmas.

The German exploration and production company, with its headquarters in Hamburg, is active in 14 countries around the world.

  • Signed a three-year frame agreement, regarding the provision of consultant services, with Omega in December 2012.

For 40 years RWE Dea AS has been present in Oslo via its Norwegian subsidiary, which today holds a solid license portfolio. RWE Dea Norway is one of the companies that has participated in some of the largest discoveries on the Norwegian Continental Shelf in recent years.

RWE Dea has been active in discoveries including Edvard Grieg, Knarr and Skarfjell. In 2010, the company made significant discoveries on the Titan field in the North Sea and the Zidane field in the Norwegian Sea. In 2012,a further discovery was made on Zidane, where gas production is expected to commence in 2017.

Today, RWE Dea Norway’s production is based on their activity on the Snorre, Gjøa, Veslefrikk and Snøhvit fields. The company is  also  currently establishing itself as a developer and operator in the Norwegian oil and energy market following their previous activity as an upstream company. 

Expansive team

"RWE Dea Norway is a company on the offensive. They are now focussing on becoming a full-scale operator on the Norwegian Shelf. Today, the company has 100 employees  and is on the lookout for even more consultants to join their already expansive team,” says Tollefsen.

The company’s Norwegian subsidiary is located in Oslo, and most of Omega’s assignements with RWE Dea will be located in the Norwegian capital. All positions from RWE Dea Norway will be published on jobs.omega.no .
