Omega awarded frame agreement with Talisman Energy Norge AS

CEO in Omega AS, Petter Aalvik, together with EVP Operations Leader in Ocean Maxwell, Cecilie Sælen.

Omega AS, in cooperation with Ocean Maxwell AS, has been awarded a two-year frame agreement with Talisman Energy Norge AS. The agreement includes services within subsurface and drilling, engineering and project services, and administrative services.

Omega, as one of five consultancy companies awarded frame agreements with Talisman, will deliver personnel to Talisman Energy Norge AS’ projects. The agreement spans two years and includes the option to extend the contract for two additional years.

"Omega has delivered consultancy services to Talisman Energy Norge AS for years; their decision to continue with our services, now through a frame agreement, is a declaration of confidence and trust in our work, says Petter Aalvik," CEO of Omega AS.

Talisman Energy Norge AS is a daughter company of the Canadian international oil and gas company Talisman, which was acquired by the Spanish energy company Repsol in May 2015. Talisman mainly operates in North America and Colombia, but also in South-east Asia. Talisman Energy Norge AS (TENAS) was established in Stavanger in 2003, and took on a role as operator, developer and explorer within the sector.

"We hope that the contract can also lead to new and exciting assignments in the time to come, and we can see that there will be a focus on production instead of exploration in the near future," says Department Manager at the Omega office in Stavanger, Kari Marie Usken.

A result of close cooperation

The agreement encompasses all disciplines within subsurface and drilling, engineering and project services, and administrative services. The Bergen-based Ocean Maxwell is an alliance partner with Omega on the frame agreement, and will contribute expertise within drilling and well.

"The frame agreement is a result of close cooperation between Omega and Talisman Energy Norge AS. We will deliver on all service areas, while Ocean Maxwell contributes with consultants for drilling and well," explains Aalvik.

For more than 25 years, Omega has delivered system solutions and consultancy services to leading actors within the international oil and gas industry.

The company delivers services within all stages of project completion. With 15 subsidiarycompanies, Omega can provide consultants within the disciplines of IT, subsea and marine engineering services.

Omega has over 1000 employees on assignment for leading actors in the oil and gas sector across 19 countries worldwide. Omega’s headquarters is located in Ølensvåg, with branch offices in USA, Australia, England, Scotland, Singapore, Lithuania, and Canada. Omega had a total turnover of NOK 1.6 billion in 2014.
