Pims on the rise

With over 30 new clients, and more than 40 Pims modules introduced globally since January 2013, Project Systems Manager, Svein Tore Haraldseid, is very satisfied with the systems’ positive results. He and his team are looking forward to further sales and new projects.

“It’s very gratifying to be able to present Jernbaneverket, Petrobras, Rio Tinto, Wintershall, and Teekay, as some of our new clients,” says Haraldseid.

When asked to pinpoint the reasons for these positive results in the midst of what some might call a period of downturn in the oil business, he points to the positive reputation Pims has gained around the world:

“There are many reasons. Omega and Pims have a good reputation in the market and many new, potential customers contact us for a presentation about the tools and services we can offer.”

Competency generates trust

“Our clients are met by professional and dedicated team members who, in addition to knowing the software, are also able to discuss project needs and potential solutions; this has had a major impact on our growth. Competency generates trust,” says Haraldseid.

“We are lucky enough to have many satisfied clients; their recommendations are invaluable when contacting new clients.”

New markets

Until now, Omega’s portfolio of system clients has largely been populated by companies in the oil and gas industry, but new segments are now opening up for Pims.

“We have recently signed contracts with companies within the water, mining, and railroad industries. Our goal is to also become a preferred partner within these industries, in the same way that we have served the oil and gas industry,” says Haraldseid.

Few competitors

The project management system, Pims, has several modules, which cover the majority of disciplines within project management and completion. While there are numerous competitors within each discipline, few companies can offer a product portfolio as wide-spanning as Omega’s.

“It is, without a doubt, a benefit that our team has the knowledge and experience to understand and engage with the various processes and tasks in a project environment – be it large or small. This combination of skilled employees with professional know-how, and proven project management systems, bind the whole process together in an ordered and understandable manner that has proven to be a valuable asset for us,” declares Svein Tore Haraldseid.
