All Connect applications have been given a facelift, the portal is now pad-friendly, and we have added new applications that will be useful for the Omega team.

Since the launch of Connect.omega.no in 2011, our employee portal has offered access to all of the applications and information our team members require.

Now, a new generation Connect has arrived, which includes the best of the functionality from the original, as well as many new applications.

"Our first priority has been to develop the applications to be even more user friendly in regard to everyday tasks on Connect. We have also focused on making the new version pad-friendly, a very important feature for the future,” says Omega's Technology Manager, Peter Øren, who has spearheaded the Connect makeover.

With a combined team from Omega's Technology and Communications Departments he has developed the new portal based on feedback from employees and the entire Omega organization.

"The test version has been available via the previous Connect for the last couple of weeks, and we have encouraged people to give us feedback via Improve. More functionality will come and we will inform you continously via Notifications and InsideOmega. Now, we hope all employees will continue to make suggestions for further improvements and report bugs they may come across using new Connect.”

So, what is new in our new Connect?

  • Developed to support the most commonly used browsers Chrome, Internet Explorer 9, Firefox og Safari
  • Connect is pad-friendly
  • Current Assignments provides an overview of all active Omega assignments at all times. Here, you can search for assignments and filter via regions, disciplines and clients
  • The Advantage section has received a visual upgrade
  • In Job Goals you can share your plans and goals in Omega with your Department Manager and ask for feedback and discussions
  • Notifications will provide you with updates from Inside Omega, the Service Center, Administration, and other useful information for you as an employee. You are free to remove the notifications you no longer need
  • You can use Personal Note to create your own messages and reminders
