Providing Sporveien  with Consultancy Services 

Omega has been awarded a frame agreement with Sporveien Oslo AS and will deliver consultancy services for the next two years. 

Sporveien Oslo AS will be leading many upgrades in the time to come, so this is a very exciting agreement for us to secure,” says Omega’s Department Manager, Arvid Grønvoll. 

Sporveien is Norway’s largest supplier of public transportation, carrying more than 200 million passengers every year. Omega will deliver consultants within the areas of Project Management and Schedule planning. The terms of the agreement are two years, with an opportunity for an extended period. 

Omega already has  a frame agreement with Sporveien regarding consultancy services for the discipline of Document Control. 

“We have many consultants with experience and expertise from the oil and gas and energy industries and Sporveien is a client requesting exactly this expertise for their projects,” says Grønvoll. 

Another step in transportation 

During recent years, Omega has secured new clients in industries outside of oil and& gas, which has traditionally represented Omega’s main client market. Omega’s consultancy services and Pims project management tools are now serving several companies within the transportation and infrastructure sectors, such as the Norwegian National Rail Authority. 

“Omega has made an effort to attract the transportation industry over the last couple of years and the agreement with Sporveien is another step in the right direction towards this very important market for us,” says Grønvoll. 

Building for the future 

Sporveien Oslo has 855 trams, subway carriages and buses. The company has approximately 3500 employees and a turnover of more than NOK 4 billion. In the years to come, Oslo and the surrounding region will experience an extensive growth in population and will pass 1.3 million residents in 2020. 

 Currently, Sporveien is developing several large transportation projects to meet this growth; At the same time, new projects are being planned for the years to come.
