Omega's IT center is holding a recruiting event with speed interviews on November 7 at Omega’s offices in Stavanger.

“Omega is growing and we need to add more skilled IT personnel to our team. We are excited to meet both students and job seekers with several years of work expeience in the Stavanger area,” explains Coordinator for IT Consultants Anders Prestbø, who will along with Business Developer Håvard Lea Olsen, and Department Manager Jan Christian Brataas represent Omega at the event.

The event starts at 16.30 in Omega’s offices at Forus in Stavanger. The event will be kicked off with light snacks and a presentation of Omega, followed by speed interviews of around ten to fifteen minutes for those who are interested in work opportunities in Omega.

“We hope that potential candidates will sign up for the speed interviews this afternoon. A speed interview is a quick job interview where the applicant gets to know more about Omega and we get to know the applicant better,” explains Business Developer Håvard Lea Olsen.

Omega’s IT center are interested in personnel that are triggerd when learning about new domains, technologies and how technology creates value. The applicants must know Norwegian and English well, have a bachelor or masters degree, and have knowledge about one or more of the following areal: 

  • Microsoft .Net, Python, Node.JS, Java or Go 
  • Database design and development in MS SQL or MySQL 
  • Microsoft Azure platform 
  • Modern frontend frame work based on HTML5, CSS and JavaScript

Work with tasks such as

  • implementing Pims on big and small scale projects  
  • assist the client with Microsoft Azure  platform expertise 
  • develop windows, web and mobile applications  
  • create value with big data and analysis 
  • execute IT/technical project management on assignment for clients       
  • implement IoT solutions
  • build the next generation of IT architecture 

The project management tool Pims is well-known in the market and continually under development, combined with Omega's control system HMSREG this provides many job possibilities for both in-house positions and as consultants working on assignment for clients.   

During 2018, 30 new employees have been added to the Omega team. Several are employed at the offices in Bergen, Stavanger, Oslo and Ølensvåg, while others are on assignment for clients.
