Omega IT-ledelse renamed Omega IT-arkitekter

"The new name better describes the services we can offer,” say IT architects, Arne Jon Myskja (right) and Bjarne Henrik Gjellesvik.

Omega IT-arkitekter (Omega IT architects) is the new name for the part of Omega's business previously known as Omega IT-ledelse. The decision to change the name is based on a desire to present a name that more accurately describes the services the team offers.

“We help companies with strategic choices regarding IT solutions that support enterprise strategies and goals,” says Arne Jon Myskja, describing the services behind the name.

A jungle out there

In most industry sectors, there are increasingly stringent requirements for quality and documentation, requiring clear procedures and solid systems for the utilization and storage of documents. In the jungle of technological solutions, it is easy to make poor choices. It takes a lot of work to have the knowledge required to make good choices regarding which IT solutions a company should implement.

“This is where we, as IT architects, can assist,” explains Myskja. “Our role in companies is similar to that of a traditional architect in the development of buildings. Archtiects see the whole and assist in coordinating and connecting various disciplines. We have in-depth knowledge of IT and how various IT solutions fit together and can be used in context.”

Town planners

"To continuing the comparison with the construction industry, we can could call ourselves corporate town planners. We identify company needs and consider the various IT solutions that can assist in leading the organization in the direction it desires, whilst also contributing to more efficient use of resources in companies,” says Arne Jon Myskja.
