Jean-Francois Caron (aka Jeff, jeff@omega.no) brings with him experience from over 18 years within the oil and gas business. His recent position was as contractor Integrity Manager for a client project in Angola, and he has previously worked on projects in countries such as Russia, Trinidad, Venezuela, USA, and the United Arab Emirates.

Omega established a branch office in Pau in Southern France early 2019 to support the company’s operations. Caron will now work with following up Omega’s existing clients in the region and will explore new prospects, which he believes are many in Southern Europe and Middle East.

“I believe we can find possible prospects for Omega both in Spain and Portugal. I have worked in Dubai for two years and experienced the market there, I can also see a potential here,” he says.

Jean-Francois Caron is originally from Lille in France, and lives with his wife and two daughters in Paris. They have previously been expats in Houston in 2008, where Caron got introduced to Omega’s operations.

There are currently four employees working at Omega’s office in Pau, which is located in the business park Technopole Hélioparc.

Caron is excited to start his work in Omega and says that he is drawing on inspiration from his hobby which is cycling and a quote from Einstein: “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving”. Which he means is telling for the work ahead at the Omega office in Pau.
