What to bring

  • Bed linen and towels
  • Kitchen towels and washcloths

Barrier

There is a barrier at the start of Hartevasstrondi. If you arrive after 7 PM or before 9 AM, you must call Aslaug on +47 982 86 931 or Olav Magne on +47 975 68 252.

They will call a phone number which opens the barrier for you.

During your stay you find a key in the laundry room/storage room marked "Bom". Remember to put the key back in the storage room upon departure. Do not bring the key home!

Firewood

There is firewood in the shed behind the cabin (not the shed by the entrance door).

There are two wood-burning stoves in the cottage.

YOU MUST NOT USE THE FIREPLACE IN THE KITCHEN. The stove needs to be repaired before use.
Horizontal: Closed
Vertical: Open (Pull the splint towards you and turn left).
The splint must always be open when the fireplace is in use.

There is a wood-burning stove in the living room. The splint must be pulled out when starting the fire and when adding more wood. Be careful when opening the door to prevent smoke from entering the room.

Water

The handle to turn on the water can be found down by the floor between the washing machine and the hot water tank in the shed. Vertical means it is open. Remember to close it on departure. Then it should be horizontal.

Oven

The black button must be pressed twice until PRE appears on the display

Locking the doors

All exterior doors are opened/locked by lifting the handle before opening or unlocking the doors.

Snowplowing

Snow will be plowed between Friday morning and Sunday. If you arrive before Friday, we order extra plowing for you.
However, the road down to the cabin will not be plowed unless there is more than 10 cm of fresh snow. There are snow shovels you may use to clear the entrance area and terrace of snow. We hope everyone can contribute to this.
