Assignment Description

• Do you have MSc, BSc, Technical College, or other relevant education and experience
• Shall hold an International Welding Engineer degree (IWE)
• International Welding Technologist (IWT) can be considered for the right candidate.
• Minimum 4 years' experience from O&G industry.
• A couple of years' experience in welding of process piping, risers, structural steel, instruments, vessel & mechanical packages.
• Good knowledge of NORSOK, DNV, ASME & ISO welding standards.
• Good knowledge of welding inspection. A person holding a welding inspection diploma or certificate is preferred but not a requirement.
• Good knowledge of NDT methods.
• Be able to work independently.
• Available for work in Norway
• Ability to work in teams and to work independently
• Good communicative skills in Norwegian and English and team player

Qualifications

• Act responsible welding coordinator (RWC) in project
• Perform welding related activities through all phases of projects (Engineering, Procurement, Prefab, Installation & Commissioning)
• Quality control of documents, work-preparation for pre-fabrication and installation, procurement packages, sub-contractors, inspectors & operators.
• Establish new and maintain welding procedures specifications, procedures and instructions.
• Verification and on-site follow-up.
• Coordination with installation resources that right equipment, personnel and reporting is performed throughout the project.
• Quality of the final welding documentation and storage.
• Fluent in English
