Project Department Description

Confirmed discoveries in 2020 in adjacent exploration licence EL1156 (Cappahayden and Cambriol) are potential tie-ins in a joint project development. The Bay du Nord discovery is at a water depth of approximately 1170 metres whilst the new discoveries are at approx. 650 water depth.

Equinor is considering developing the Bay du Nord field using a floating production unit for storage and offshore offloading (FPSO), which also is a suited solution for tie-back of adjacent discoveries and future prospects.

The FEED vendor for the topside scope is located in Leatherhead in UK, hence, some commuting/travel is foreseen

Tasks and Responsibilities Description

• Take the position as telecom discipline/lead engineer in the Bay du Nord project from FEED studies to construction and hand-over
• Be responsible for the telecom design. This will involve participation in inhouse studies and further project maturation in close cooperation with our contractors and suppliers.
• Follow up the agreed telecom philosophy.
• Follow up and guide contractors and suppliers.
• Prepare technical requirements and tender documentation.
• Follow up fabrication, testing and installation.
• Contribute to internal and external improvement activities and development of the telecom competence within Equinor.

• Master of Science or Bachelor of Science within telecom engineering with 5-7 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with project execution.
• Good knowledge of rules/regulations, standards, and technical requirements within the telecom discipline.
• Flexibility towards work tasks and location is essential, some international and domestic travel will be required.
• High ethical standards and adherence to ethical requirements.
• Ability to handle high workload.
• Proficiency in English.
