Security Advisor II
Overview
The Security Advisor provides security support for facilities and projects, with expertise in security operations, intelligence, personnel and executive protection, technical security, and business support. The role assesses security risks, develops mitigation strategies, and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to support business operations.
Note: Primary focus is maritime security, which will require some routine offshore travel.
Responsibilities:
Assess and improve corporate security programs and practices in response to security risks.
Coordinate and conduct investigations and prepare reports.
Develop threat assessments and intelligence communications to support informed decision-making.
Identify and mitigate security threats using intelligence-led approaches.
Collaborate with internal security teams and external law enforcement and intelligence agencies.
Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders to support security objectives.
Support security operations, intelligence, personnel and executive protection, technical security, and business support activities.
Maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information.
Support maritime security operations, including routine offshore travel as required.
Requirements:
· College-level education or equivalent
· 10+ years of relevant years of experience in Security
· Work in a complex organization
· Communicate and present to a wide range of audiences
· Exercise critical thinking
· Lead others in the absence of having a direct line of authority
· Strictly maintain the confidentiality of highly sensitive information
· Proficiently use Microsoft Office and other collaboration tools
