Assignment Description
Proactive and take full responsibility for the day-to-day operations of our large-scale environmental projects. The Site Manager ECS will be the senior on-site leader, overseeing all activities, including civil, mechanical, structural, and electrical trades. The role demands a relentless focus on safety (Zero Harm), strict adherence to project schedules, budgetary control, and high-quality standards to deliver complex industrial infrastructure projects.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Leadership:Zero Harm Culture: Enforce the company’s strict Health & Safety protocols, ensuring 100% compliance with OSHA (or local equivalent) and site-specific safety plans
Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify hazards, conduct daily safety briefings (toolbox talks), and implement mitigation measures to reduce site risks
Incident Management: Lead accident investigation, reporting, and corrective action implementation
Compliance & Licensing: Ensure all machinery, temporary works, and personnel certifications are valid and maintained.
Project Planning, Scheduling, and Execution:Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day on-site activities to ensure progress aligns with the approved construction schedule and milestone targets
Resource Allocation: Optimize labor, materials, and machinery usage to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime
Subcontractor Coordination: Direct and supervise multiple subcontractors, ensuring coordinated efforts across trades to prevent delays.
Technical Compliance: Review plans, designs, and drawings to ensure construction adheres strictly to structural and technical specifications.
Quality Control & Documentation:Quality Inspections: Carry out regular site inspections to ensure workmanship meets or exceeds quality standards and project specs
Documentation Management: Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, accident/incident records, change orders, and site diary
Punch List & Handover: Manage the deficiency rectification process ("punch lists") to ensure a defect-free handover to the client.
Financial and Stakeholder Management:Budget Oversight: Monitor on-site expenses, approve subcontractor payments, and minimize potential cost overruns
Client Liaising: Act as the primary on-site contact for clients, providing regular progress updates and resolving issues effectively
Material Procurement: Oversee the logistics of material procurement, delivery, and storage on-site
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Other qualifications/knowledge
Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in site management for industrial projects (e.g., oil & gas, energy, heavy manufacturing)
Leadership: Proven track record of leading large teams (50+ personnel) and managing subcontractors efficiently
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of industrial construction processes, structural steel, mechanical installations, and EPC project structures
Software Proficiency: Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and Microsoft Office Suite
Safety Certifications: Relevant health and safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, NEBOSH) are mandatory.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
Environment: Frequently working outdoors on active industrial sites, exposed to varying weather conditions, noise, and dust
Relocation/Travel: The position may require long-term relocation to remote project sites or frequent travel
Schedule: Extended hours, weekends, or night shifts may be necessary to meet project deadlines.
