Survey Base Engineer
Omega Subsea is looking for a Survey Base Engineer to join our Survey Technical team in Bergen.
As Survey Base Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring survey equipment is maintained, tested, documented, and ready for project mobilisation. Working closely with both onshore and offshore teams, you will play a key role in supporting safe and efficient survey operations.
Key responsibilities
Manage survey equipment and documentation in the Equipment Management System.
Maintain warehouse inventory and stock control.
Inspect, test, maintain, and repair both subsea and surface survey equipment.
Prepare equipment for mobilisation and process returned equipment.
Perform workshop checks and maintain calibration records.
Develop and improve workshop procedures.
Provide technical support to onshore and offshore survey teams.
Qualifications
Degree in Electronic Engineering, Survey Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience from offshore survey operations, technical survey support or in a similar role.
Strong technical knowledge of survey equipment, electronics, and instrumentation Computer/IT Knowledge.
Experience with equipment logistics is an advantage.
Fluent in English. Norwegian is beneficial.
