Online Surveyor
Omega Subsea is experiencing increased project activity and is seeking Online Surveyors to support our growing offshore operations. This role is responsible for operating and monitoring online survey systems to ensure accurate and reliable data acquisition during offshore survey and subsea projects.
Working closely with offshore survey teams, ROV personnel, project teams, and clients, the Online Surveyor will support positioning, calibration, data monitoring, and survey operations onboard vessels and offshore spreads.
The position is offshore-based.
Key Responsibilities
· Operate and monitor online survey systems and positioning equipment onboard projects.
· Configure, test, and maintain vessel and ROV survey sensors and systems.
· Perform calibrations of positioning and navigation systems.
· Monitor real-time survey data acquisition and ensure compliance with project requirements.
· Support troubleshooting and technical issue resolution onboard.
· Maintain accurate logs, reporting, and survey documentation.
· Assist with mobilisation and demobilisation of survey systems and equipment.
· Coordinate with offshore and onshore survey teams, project personnel, and clients.
· Ensure compliance with Omega Subsea HSEQ procedures and offshore safety standards.
Qualifications
· Experience within offshore survey operations and online data acquisition.
· Technical background within hydrography, positioning, or related disciplines.
· Experience with survey software such as EIVA, Sonardyne, Exail, or equivalent.
· Strong troubleshooting, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
· Good understanding of positioning systems and survey workflows.
· Valid offshore certifications including BOSIET/FOET and Offshore Medical are considered an advantage.
