Plumber

Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures.

• Inspect plumbing systems to identify leaks, faults, and blockages.

• Install and repair pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and sanitary fixtures.

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and plumbing layouts.

• Test plumbing systems for functionality and safety.

• Cut, assemble, and install pipes using appropriate tools and materials.

• Respond to plumbing emergencies and perform troubleshooting.

• Ensure all plumbing work complies with building codes and safety regulations.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.

• Collaborate with contractors, electricians, masons, and other construction personnel.

• Prepare material estimates and report work progress to supervisors.

• Perform routine maintenance on water and sewage systems. 

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a plumber

• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, pipe fitting and drainage systems.

• Ability to read and understand plumbing drawings and specifications.

• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Strong attention to detail and workmanship.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Good communication and time management skills.

• Proficiency in using plumbing tools and equipment.

• Ability to work with PVC, copper, galvanized, and other piping materials.

• Plumbing certification or trade qualification is an advantage.
