Assignment Description

• We are looking for a skilled Heat trace engineer to work in a large EPC project.

• The right candidate will join a major green field field project and will have the opportunity to develop his/her skills with respect to electrical heat trace design.  

• Calculate, select, and oversee heat trace cable design 

• Design and follow up on heat trace requirements per P&IDs and project solutions 

• Input, update and maintain heat trace engineering register  

• Participate in inter-disciplinary meetings and coordinate between fabrication and engineering teams

• Interface with other disciplines to ensure compliant, reliable heat tracing solutions
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or Technical College combined with minimum 12 years’ relevant experience with onshore and offshore facilities 

• Ex course (to be renewed every 5 years) If candidate has no EX-certificate, then the course must be taken as soon as possible after starting work.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the design and calculations of electrical heat-trace systems for offshore projects.  

• Experience and deep knowledge of electrical design according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL and IEC 

• Familiar with Aveva E3D and NavisWorks

• Efficient communicator, who communicate well in English - Both orally and in writing  

• Cooperative working attitude and acceptance for multicultural team environment  

• A natural team player, but possess the ability to work independently  

• Systematic and accurate, with high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements  

• Proactive, seeking advice and share own experiences with others 

• EX - Grunnleggende EX kurs. 6-8 timer online, eller 22,5 i klasserom
