Location: This position is fully mobile with base location onshore Yard at Rosenberg and Stord, and at later stage Offshore.

Assignment Description

The Commissioning Telecom Engineer is responsible for engaging and performing Completion and Commissioning activities related to the fabrication testing, documentation preparation and system testing of PWP topside equipment with special attention to Telecom scope

Position Purpose

• Role to ensure completion and commissioning requirements of all PWP Telecom systems, meeting all Aker BP’s project and operational requirements, including verification and assurance.
• Responsible for implementing the commissioning certification and handover process according to Project Completion Strategy for relevant systems.
• Responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handover of relevant systems to the Asset Operations team upon completion of commissioning activities.
• Responsible for establishing and follow up project-support tool (PIMS).
• Participate in discipline walkdowns

Key responsibilities
Responsible for dedicated Telecom Systems, providing supervision, direction, and guidance with regards to:

• Execution of Commissioning activities assigned by the Comm System Telecom Lead
• Verify Construction Field installations are according to design/drawings in collaboration with Telecom Lead
• Knowledge of reading/understanding drawings, functional specifications / procedures.
• Participate in check-out, verification (Walk Down/Yellow line) according to the RFCC Hand-Over Process
• Plan and facilitate for check-out/execution of static commissioning
• Plan and facilitate for Dynamic Commissioning activities
• Participate in meetings for planning Commissioning activities
• According to good Alliance practice, ensure good communication between operation, maintenance, contractors, and suppliers
• Daily reporting to the Commissioning Telecom Lead regarding ongoing Commissioning activities
• Assist with the collection of documentation related to RFOC Hand-over according to the System Lead's instructions
• Contribute and advice related to Telecom input to overall Completion strategy and planning
• Manage related ATS and other resources providing services and supplying materials or equipment for Telecom Systems Commissioning.
• Provide guidance and direction to the Telecom Commissioning Team, contributing in develop and review of relevant commissioning procedures.

Qualifications

• BSc. in Engineering or a related field or equivalent education / experience.
• Familiarity with Project Completions System (PIMS) and document management.
• Documented Ex competence with valid classroom courses
• FSE course
