Facilities Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities: 

  • System Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance & repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, & HVAC systems.
  • Inspections: Conducting regular inspections of building systems & equipment to identify potential issues, hazards, & maintenance needs.
  • Repairs: Diagnosing & fixing various mechanical, electrical, & structural issues to ensure optimal system functioning.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance to avoid breakdowns & ensure smooth operation.

Requirements: 

  • Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in a maintenance role is required.
  • Advanced Education/Certifications: Trade certifications in areas like HVAC, electrical, and/ or plumbing.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use diagnostic tools.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
