Assignment Description

As Senior Automation Engineer, you will support and plan activities in order to provide safe, in-control and efficient management of the Safety- and Automation System (SAS) for the Edvard Grieg installation.
You will need to demonstrate strong commitment to the HSSE, integrity and automation standards within clients when carrying out the responsibilities, delivering safe, efficient and reliable operations within the framework of our management system (BMS).
You will support clients common strategies to ensure continuous improvement, standardization and efficient SAS-management across all clients offshore assets.

Typical tasks will include:

• Responsible for planning and execution of SAS modifications (Safety Automated System) for Edvard Grieg
• Technical support resolving direct and short-term actions
• Ensure up-to-date LCI (Life Cycle Information).
• Ensure close cooperation with critical suppliers and contractors.
• Perform condition monitoring analysis when required
• Perform defect elimination, support Root cause Failure Analysis for production losses and identify production vulnerabilities.
• Cost management of the agreed budgets for assigned activities
• Participate in community for automation engineers including Control & Automation team meetings

Qualifications

• Master of Science or similar in Automation, preferably with specialization in Control systems
• Minimum 5 years of experience with design and operation of SAS systems, preferably within the oil & gas industry.
• Experience and understanding related to all relevant discipline standards and guidelines
• Previous experience with ABB/Siemens/ Kongsberg/ Honeywell control systems is a requirement
• Systematic, structured and reliable in the performance of daily tasks.
• Dedication and a personal drive for continuous improvement
• Good communications skills in both Norwegian and English
