This position is fully mobile with base location onshore office Oslo. Mobilization to construction site Haugesund is a requirement of this position. Sporadic offshore activity.

Assignment Description

The Commissioning Lead for Electrical systems is responsible for providing planning input, direction, guidance and supervision of commissioning activities. The role is on a multidiscipline level, including verification and assurance. The Commissioning Lead will ensure that commissioning requirements are carried out safely, efficiently, and ensure they meet all c’s project and operational requirements.

Roles, Responsibilities and tasks:

• Lead and coordinate commissioning activities within your discipline (e.g., mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, process) to ensure safe and efficient startup of facilities and systems.
• Develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures, and checklists according to project requirements, standards, and regulations.
• Ensure all commissioning activities are carried out in compliance with HSE requirements and quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with project engineers, construction teams, operations personnel, and other discipline leads to ensure integrated and coordinated startup.
• Monitor and report progress and identify and resolve any technical issues during the commissioning phase.
• Responsible for performing and leading system testing, functional testing, and performance testing.
• Document and verify test results to ensure all systems operate according to specifications before handover to operations.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to operations personnel
• Provide input to Completion Execution planning
• Develop Commissioning procedures for the Discipline and input to multi discipline procedures
• Project Commissioning status reports incl. Hanging Gardens Schedule
• Endorse quality of content within the Completion Tool PIMS
• Endorse and verify Construction/MC based upon the RFCC process as defined by the Completion Philosophy
• Document Completion Handover (RFOC`s) to Operations

Qualifications

• BSc. in Engineering or a related field or equivalent education / experience.
• MSc. in Engineering or a related field or equivalent education / experience.
• Experience from NORSOK projects.
• System-based commissioning knowledge and understanding
• Track record of delivery in the Oil & Gas industry for the Norwegian Continental Shelf and able to demonstrate effective system commissioning skills are a major advantage
• Familiarity with Project Completions Systems and document management systems. Experience with PIMS is an advantage.
• Ability to engage and lead a team of commissioning engineers & technicians to achieve timely execution of commissioning activities
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
