Preparation Technician

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Makes surveys on site, produces and monitors work requirement sheets.
  • Writes worksheets according to work requests issued by the customer.
  • Studies the feasibility of work done and analyzes risks in cooperation with everyone concerned with the project. (Particularly the customer operations department).
  • Organizes work operating procedures and identifies human and equipment resources.
  • Creates the technical documentation necessary for viewing the work (diagrams, technical datasheets, and isometric drawings).
  • Participates in marking on-site work (labels, paint, other).
  • Participates in evaluation of waste types and quantities generated by the work. Takes the necessary measures to minimize risks jeopardizing Quality, Safety and the Environment. 
  • Applies the instructions as regards compliance with HSEQ rules. 
  • Supports the HSEQ system by taking part in discussions. 
  • Proposes and carries out improvement actions, corrective and/or preventive actions. 
  • Undertakes to follow the training necessary to develop his or her skills. 
  • May be required to train new hires

 Requirements:

  • Technical/Engineering Degree and at least 2 years with industry experience
  • Knowledge of the law and regulations specific to the business 
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to summarize
  • Analytical mind and teamwork capability 
  • Ability to manage a project
