Project Services Manager

NSB Omega is searching for a Project Services Manager for our Client. 

Job Description:
The Project Services Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating key project services functions including project controls, scheduling, cost management, risk management, procurement support, and reporting. This individual will work closely with senior management, engineering teams, and external contractors to ensure that the construction of the new plant is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Coordination & Management:

    • Oversee and coordinate all project services functions to ensure smooth and efficient project execution.
    • Manage the development and integration of project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
    • Ensure proper communication and alignment between all project teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, and operations.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to define and meet key performance indicators (KPIs) and project goals.

  2. Project Controls & Reporting:

    • Develop and manage project controls systems to track progress, cost, and schedule performance.
    • Prepare regular reports on project status, highlighting key milestones, risks, and any deviations from the plan.
    • Analyze and interpret project data to provide actionable insights for corrective actions and improvements.

  3. Cost & Budget Management:

    • Oversee project budgeting and cost management processes, ensuring accurate tracking of expenses and staying within financial constraints.
    • Work with the finance and procurement teams to manage procurement activities and cost estimates.
    • Identify potential cost overruns and work proactively to implement corrective actions.

  4. Risk Management:

    • Develop and implement risk management strategies to identify and mitigate potential risks throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Monitor and assess project risks and issues, providing solutions to ensure they do not impact project timelines or budget.
    • Facilitate regular risk reviews and updates to stakeholders.

  5. Procurement & Contract Support:

    • Provide support in the procurement of project services, materials, and equipment.
    • Assist in managing vendor and contractor relationships, ensuring they are aligned with project objectives and deliverables.
    • Support the preparation and review of contracts and agreements to ensure proper scope, schedule, and financial terms.

  6. Team Leadership & Collaboration:

    • Lead and mentor project services teams to ensure high performance and alignment with the overall project goals.
    • Foster strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
    • Ensure that the project services team adheres to best practices and industry standards in all project activities.

  7. Compliance & Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure the project meets all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
    • Develop and implement quality assurance and control procedures to ensure that all project deliverables meet the highest standards.
    • Support the preparation for audits, inspections, and reviews as required.

  8. Sustainability & Environmental Considerations:

    • Incorporate sustainability and environmental impact considerations into project services processes.
    • Promote the use of sustainable materials, processes, and energy-efficient technologies in project execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in project services management, with a strong focus on large-scale construction projects in industrial, manufacturing, or energy sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of project controls, scheduling, cost management, and risk management processes.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and supply chain coordination.
  • Familiarity with construction and manufacturing standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Expertise in project management software (e.g., Primavera, Microsoft Project, SAP, or similar tools).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • PMP, PgMP, or similar project management certification is preferred.
  • Experience in the battery or energy sector is a plus.
