Assignment Description

We is looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager who can manage large contracts related to Power and Automation and Electrical Systems. The Technical Project Manager will manage part of the total project scope, specifically related to large electrical deliveries e.g. electrical system design, subsea transformers, wind park controls and operations as well as connection to onshore power grids. The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for the technical and contractual aspects of the scope, and it is important that the candidate has a solid foundation within the Power and Automation discipline. 

You will be part of a fast-moving and highly competent organization, building the world’s leading knowledge base for floating offshore wind turbines for worldwide operations. This is a unique opportunity to become a pioneer at the forefront of this next generation technology.

  • Plan, manage and control large contractual packages related to electrical deliveries e.g. electrical system design, subsea transformers solutions, wind park controls and operations and connection to onshore power grids and applicable dependencies
  • Prepare technical documentation for supply chain and procurement processes 
  • Provide technical input and support to the Supply Chain team in terms of bid evaluation, supplier selection and contract negotiation process. 
  • Lead and manage suppliers during various project phases to ensure compliance with Employers requirements, budget and schedule. 
  • Manage and coordinate multidiscipline project teams to ensure the technical delivery is within the required maturity and accuracy
  • Facilitate Interface management both internally and externally
  • Identify, follow-up and mitigate risks trough all project phases
  • Follow-up of suppliers in terms of requirements and documentation required for the Project Certification process. 
  • Work pro-actively in close collaboration with other project managers, technical leads and specialists

Qualifications

  • Min 10 years experience from projects management and/or technical lead roles 
  • Engineering degree within electrical engineering, power and automation or similar 
  • Demonstrable experience in various aspects of project deliveries including planning and execution, client and supplier management 
  • Good leadership and collaborative qualities.
  • As the working language is English, good oral and written English skills are required.
