Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of project controls during all stage gates of the project

Develop and maintain policies and systems including a Project Controls Management Plan which entails direction on the delivery of all aspects of Project Controls including but not limited to risk management, document control, planning and scheduling, cost estimating, invoicing and progress against project milestones.

Perform scenario comparisons and uncertainty analysis and sensitivities on schedule and cost estimates.
Organize and lead weekly routines with project planners  DCC, Cost, RISK functions (PIMS RISK tool)
Work close with PMT within the project and deputy the Contracts Manager when needed.

 Main duties

• Manage reviews and assurance of schedule and cost estimates budget approvals.
• Collaborate with Project Management Team to identify threats to cost and schedule and identify mitigation strategies.
• Lead administrative requirements towards Client and internal reporting to Sen. Managment, i.e. monthly reports and all required supporting documentation.
• Direct cost and schedule risk analysis workshops to determine the contingency estimate.
• Develop reports for PM and PMT to utilize and control deviations within schedule and cost frame. 
• Benchmark against historical performance, industry norms and established KPIs.
• Contribute to project operational readiness planning and implementation activities.
• Responsible for developing meaningful integrated schedules and periodic updates
• Responsible for the development of cost estimates and control budgets and monitor trends and   
• forecasts
• Review and maintain the company work breakdown structure (WBS) for reporting and accurate 
• allocation of asset / facilities costs.
• Collaborate with PMT in controlling Fabrication Yard. 
• Support PM with administrative tasks.
• Report on monthly and quarterly projects budgets [KZ1] and forecast to key stakeholders including schedule updates, forecast to complete variance identification, opportunities for improvement and risk.

 Risk Management

• Responsible for establishing and maintaining the risk register and follow up to ensure that mitigating action are taken to reduce the risk.
• Promote and develop with the project team opportunities to enhance project performances
• Participate within Contract management – Change management-
• Control and monitor overall manage commercial changes in the project and play an active role to monitor, pursue and secure variation orders with client
• Ensure changes are evaluated on cost, schedule and risk
• Project support management

 Person Specification

• Experience 10 + years’ experience in a similar role, preferably with experience working both Contractor and Client side.
• Region experience desired but not essential.
• Experience of project controls with exposure across planning, cost control, change. management, document control, project controls reporting and general knowledge of risk analysis practices.
• Experience transitioning projects from design phases into execute, including conversion of cost estimates for lump sum turnkey projects is desired, but not essential.
• Experience in execution of Projects from concept through to commissioning.
• Complete understanding of a project stage gates.
• Demonstrated experience of Project Controls Assurance in regard to schedule, cost and risk.  
• Experienced in a wide range of project control tools and work processes.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
• Ability to proactively manage a team and provide guidance and leadership.
• Degree in relevant technical or business discipline or can be substituted by suitable industry. experience. Post graduate qualification desirable.
