Assignment Description

Be of support to project work and contribute to the development / implementation of tools and work processes within the area of responsibility. Contribute to that at any given time required tasks are carried out in accordance with the requirements, specifications and schedule.

 

  • Perform work tasks according to Odfjell Technology and the client’s governing documentation, including also other authorities for the specific project.
  • Perform CTR-activities/offers, both study and project related.
  • Concept evaluation and quality assurance of Subsea / BOP system and equipment design.
  • Project work in multidiscipline team.
  • Participate in HAZOP/design review/other reviews if needed.
  • Evaluate modifications impact on capacities, rules and regulations and vessels IADC (Specification)
  • Responsible for relevant mechanical documentation, such as:
  • Mechanical equipment data sheets.
  • Technical requisitions.
  • Specify Vendor Documentation and ensure Authority and Shell requirements are met and delivered in accordance with SDRL.
  • Material handling philosophy and maintenance for the Subsea / BOP, X-mas tree equipment and operations.
  • Input to Design and study reports.
  • If required produce work packages/ presentations/ installation plans etc as needed to secure safe and efficient installation work.
  • Input System Operation manuals, testing procedures etc.
  • Checking of mechanical documentation issued by colleagues.
  • Execute Offshore surveys.
  • Follow-up vendors and 3rd parties
  • Progress reporting. Evaluate available hours vs remaining work at request.
  • Assist clients in their work tasks specifications and follow-up activities to secure proper quality of both works done and documentations.  

Qualifications

  • Engineer (MSc, BSc or equivalent) with minimum 4-6 years’ experience relevant within mechanical, hydraulic, subsea and within engineering and operation.
  • Good knowledge related to maintenance of subsea BOP system/ pressure control equipment, X-mas tree equipment and motion compensating equipment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and governmental authorities’ expectations
  • Good English communication skills, both oral and written. 
  • Sufficient computer skills.
