Well Intervention Engineer

Assignment Description

 1. Apply and support HSE and Q best practices in planning of well operations
 2. Deliver planning and support of operations managed by well intervention department
 3. Optimize available resources during planning and execution of well operations
 4. Expand of individual knowledge / participation in synergy and experience transfer
 5. Apply Schedule & Cost performance analysis, coordinate purchases
 6. Comply to regulatory and corporate policy
 7. Administrate allocated Service contracts.


  • Plan safe, environmental sound and efficient well operations through collaborative efforts following the Well Design & Delivery Process and related policies/requirements
  • Ensure well design and operations comply with corporate management standards and regulatory requirements
  • Provide technical support during operations (includes duty requirements/offshore as needed)
     
  • Track, analyze and investigate issues to improve operational performance
     
  • Provide input for risk assessment and mitigation plans
     
  • Monitor and analyze operational progress against plans and follow up on significant problems with corrective actions
     
  • Develop accurate cost estimates inclusive of appropriate contingency and monitor
     
  • Recommend implementation of new techniques and practices and conduct feasibility studies for new design concepts as needed
     
  • Document and champion lessons learned
     
  • Prepare and archive relevant documentation for well operations
     
  • Support delivery of reporting to offshore, management, authorities
     
  • Administrate allocated service contracts and COPNO procedures
     
  • Perform duty as required per Duty Guidelines
     

Qualifications Required

  • Prepare job specific program according to WDDP (WorkIt)
  • Coordinate purchases of necessary well intervention equipment
  • Initiate the operation in cooperation with the actual platform management, offshore Well Intervention Supervisor
     (WISU) and Well Intervention Superintendent
     
  • Provide QAQC of daily reports (WellView incl. NPT time), daily support to the offshore supervisor and be the
     WISU's onshore contact point in alignment with the Well Intervention Superintendent
  • Relevant experience in one or more intervention disciplines
  • Sufficient computer skills to fluently use office applications and wells engineering software
