Process Engineer

Assignment Description

• Be a reference on the process discipline and advise the technical managers and project managers in the design decisions
• Be main process client resource in end of FEED phase and potentially detail engineering phase. Project consists of hydrogen production, storage and a hydrogen fuel switch solutions to an aluminum melting furnace.
• Selection, sizing, design and specification of process equipment
• Development of system diagrams such as PFDs, P&IDs, schematics
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP and other technical workshops
• Development of the project design basis and scope of work documents
• Supervision and coordination of contractors and consultants
• Perform review of supplier’s documentation
• Contribute to the development of Havrand tools, templates, and best practices

Qualifications Required

• MSc in Engineering (Preferably in Chemical, Process)
• Minimum 10 years’ experience from working as a process engineer in the oil & gas, metals, or chemical industries
• Experience with Hydrogen and Hydrogen derivatives is an advantage
• Preferably experience in either boiler, burner, steel, feedstock, or power generation fuel conversion 
• Experience with Hydrogen and Hydrogen derivatives, and with process safety within Hydrogen facilities is an advantage
• Fluency in written and spoken English. Fluency in Norwegian and/or Portuguese is an advantag
• Process safety competence is an advantage
