Project Controls Specialist

Assignment Description

Seeking a project control professional capable of providing broad support in terms of project planning, monitoring and control, forecasting, analyzing, reporting and advising on multiple and simultaneous projects.

  • Oversee all initial planning/scheduling efforts for projects in the portfolio.
  • Establish documented baseline scopes, schedules, and budgets.
  • Review, analyze, and reconcile Field Cost Estimates (VOWD) and make recommendations to PM’s.
  • Develop Cost Reports at the project / CBS level.
  • Regularly update schedules and provide guidance to PM’s.
  • Document variances, trends, change logs.
  • Regularly update TIC forecasts and provide AFE guidance to PM’s.
  • Identify and analyze risks to baselines.
  • Create reports, as appropriate, for relevant stakeholders/team members.
  • Assist Portfolio Manager with updates to accruals, cash flow, and CapEx forecasts.
  • Review invoices, and resolve financial / project issues, including PO/contract resolution.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a Financial or Technical field of study (Business, Finance, Engineering, Construction, Engineering Technology)
  • Or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with project controls (cost & schedule) and contract compliance
  • Working knowledge of budget development within a WBS
  • Proficient in Primavera P6 scheduling and database management
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to effectively communicate with various levels of management and employees
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
