Project Controls Specialist
Assignment Description
Seeking a project control professional capable of providing broad support in terms of project planning, monitoring and control, forecasting, analyzing, reporting and advising on multiple and simultaneous projects.
- Oversee all initial planning/scheduling efforts for projects in the portfolio.
- Establish documented baseline scopes, schedules, and budgets.
- Review, analyze, and reconcile Field Cost Estimates (VOWD) and make recommendations to PM’s.
- Develop Cost Reports at the project / CBS level.
- Regularly update schedules and provide guidance to PM’s.
- Document variances, trends, change logs.
- Regularly update TIC forecasts and provide AFE guidance to PM’s.
- Identify and analyze risks to baselines.
- Create reports, as appropriate, for relevant stakeholders/team members.
- Assist Portfolio Manager with updates to accruals, cash flow, and CapEx forecasts.
- Review invoices, and resolve financial / project issues, including PO/contract resolution.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a Financial or Technical field of study (Business, Finance, Engineering, Construction, Engineering Technology)
- Or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with project controls (cost & schedule) and contract compliance
- Working knowledge of budget development within a WBS
- Proficient in Primavera P6 scheduling and database management
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to effectively communicate with various levels of management and employees
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
