Senior Instrument Engineer
Assignment Description
- Modification and maintenance work projects (studies and execution).
- Instrument detail design development.
- Instrument package responsible engineer (PRE).
- Interface with other engineering disciplines and close co-operation with Instrument Discipline Task Responsible.
- Perform Offshore surveys to identify installation method, placement of instruments, Cable tray and Cable routing.
- Identify and coordinate material need.
- Document updates, tag registration and as-built.
- Create engineering work package for job-card production.
Qualifications Required
- Branch experience with adequate knowledge from Offshore field work.
- Experience and knowledge of relevant design rules, regulations and standards, such as Norwegian electrical laws and NORSOK.
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree within automation or instrumentation. Relevant work experience may compensate for lack of higher education.
- Good knowledge of Norwegian and English both verbally and written language
- Able to evaluate and decide best possible installation methods and placement of Instrument equipment.
- Familiar with MTO (Material take off) and have experience with MIPS, Jobcard fabrication and Microsoft Office.
- FSE and Offshore certificate is required.
- Certificate of basic safety course including HUET, and EX including Exi engineering.
- Able to execute, take responsibility, make decisions.
- Self-driven, proactive, communicate and able to instruct and motivate junior engineers.
