Lead Engineer Automation

Assignment Description

We are looking for a skilled automation lead to work in a large EPC greenfield project for an unmanned O&G installation. The right candidate will join a major new build project and will have the opportunity to develop his/her skills within automation systems and leadership competence in a large international project-working environment:

Typical tasks include:

• Responsible for discipline resources, planning, deliverables, scope definition, task priorities and quality
• Responsible for SAS package delivery and all information exchange with SAS supplier
• Responsible for automation system design and interfaces
• Responsible for delivery of required philosophies, topologies, legends, responsibility matrix, typicals, and templates
• Planning and participation in Hardware and Software tests
• Arrange and/or lead automation meetings, client meetings, workshops and reviews
• Interface with other disciplines, construction, MC, commissioning, operation, other contractors and suppliers

Qualifications Required

• Education Bachelor or Bachelor degree
• Ex course
• FSE course
• Minimum 8 years’ experience from automation engineering in green field projects
• Minimum 5 years’ Experience from Automation lead role and/or SAS system design activities,
• Thorough knowledge of SAS package procurement process and how to develop SAS philosophies, Topologies and System Control Diagrams.
• Experience and thorough knowledge of automation design according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, DNVGL and IEC
• Good communication skills
• Cooperative working attitude and acceptance for a multicultural working environment
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Systematic and accurate
• High loyalty to deadline and quality requirements
• Proactive, seeking advice and share own experiences with others
• Knowledge of written and spoken English required
• Knowledge of Norwegian language would be advantageous
