German regulations and EU Directive Compliance Engineer

Assignment Description

• Enable the project to issue DoC for all relevant German regulations, rules and standards in line with BSH and client requirements.
• Enable the project to issue DoC for all relevant EU directives and regulations.
• Develop overview of purchase orders and systems with expected applicable regulations/directives listed.
• Include assessment of equipment which may be categorised as an ‘assembly’ or systems
• Identify specific certificates, approvals and EU certifications required.
• Review submitted certificates and DoC for correctness and completeness
• Provide support and clarifications to package teams and suppliers as necessary
• Action queries internally and externally with suppliers
• Develop a final verification document which demonstrates and proves full compliance

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor degree (or other relevant for the tasks)
• Experience with German regulations, rules and standards relevant for offshore wind projects.
• Experience and competence within different EU directives (ATEX, Machine directive, EMC, LVD, RED, PED etc.) and requirements for declaration of complex equipment (blue guide).
• Competence about the level of required documentation from the equipment vendors in order to fulfil German requirements and the EU directives.
• Ability to work independently and thorough as well as ability to work in team
• Multidiscipline understanding
• Good communication skills
• Have a high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements
• Be proactive, seeking advice and share own experiences with others
• Communicate well in German and English – both oral and in writing.
