We are currently in the market for a highly motivated Financial Controller to provide leadership and direction through efficient execution of the Controllers responsibilities and duties. The ideal candidate should thrive on high volumes of financial activity, meeting corporate and jurisdictional milestones and deadlines regularly, be intimately familiar with efficient and effective financial work processes and have a record of high-quality execution, while enjoying working and contributing to a vibrant workplace. 


 The Financial Controller has responsibility and accountability for the management and monitoring of all business services as well as the effective implementation of same related to Company policies and administrative procedures. Reporting to the President, the Financial Controller will be responsible for all corporate accounting and cost control activities, including:

 Business Controls 

  • Efficient business operations management focused on ensuring the integrity of financial 
  • Management and leadership of financial team
  • Payroll processing and cash management, including employee benefits, payroll, and tax remittances
  • Bank and credit account reconciliations 
  • Accounts payable and receivable management (including data entry, analysis, and preparation)
  • Reconciliation and record keeping of all employee time writing and expenses
  • Reconciliation, processing, and payment of all supplier/third party invoicing
  • Preparation of monthly Client invoicing 
  • Internal project cost control and reporting
  • Manage internal and external audit process 
  • Perform random audits of accounting activities including payroll, AP, AR, purchasing, and journal entries
  • Maintain assessments and audits

 Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly reporting and financial statements
  • Provide oversight to all accounting activities 
  • Maintain internal financial control
  • Maintain various statutory reporting
  • Prepare overhead budgets and forecasting for the Group of Companies - establishes and administers budget control procedures and compiles associated monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts and reporting
  • Oversee and ensure the safekeeping of all official records and documents
  • Provide accurate internal and external administrative and financial reports as required

 Personal Development

Attend and participate in conferences, seminars, and conventions to foster and facilitate professional growth and development




  • University degree in B. Comm. or Business Administration, Financial, Accounting required
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA) would be preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with finance/accounting/audit in a medium size enterprise
  • Knowledge of Accounting standards and principles (GAAP, IFRS)
