Assignment Description
The Topside Mechanical Engineer is responsible for follow up of mechanical work scope for the FPSO topside equipment. The scope comprises to a large extent of “traditional” static mechanical equipment and topside equipment packages.

Responsibilities and purpose of role includes:
- Guidance and follow-up of Contractor for new mechanical equipment, modifications/upgrades, overhaul and other Lifetime Extension (LTE) scope for topside.
- Review, provide input and give management guidance on technical reports/notes, technical queries, management of change, deviations, etc for systems
- Follow up of procurement packages from package strategy, though enquiry and PO documentation, to manufacturing and equipment delivery
- Assistanse to process topside system design
-Ensure technical and regulatory compliance of equipment/systems. Provide management with overview of identified gaps and proposed mitigation measures / deviation processes
 -Actively resolves engineering issues for relevant mechanical equipment and packages.

- General follow-up of Contractor mechanical topside scope linked to, modifications/upgrades, GAPs, BAT, overhaul and other LTE scope
-Review, give input to and provide management guidance on technical reports/notes, technical queries, management of change, deviations, non-conformance, etc for systems
- Follow up of procurement process and package production from establishment of package strategy, though enquiry and PO documentation, to manufacturing and equipment delivery
- Ensure technical and regulatory compliance of equipment/systems. Participate in GAP process and ensure that overviews are established for relevant systems, and propose mitigation measures / deviation processes
-Actively resolves engineering issues for identified equipment and mechanical packages
-Provide input to risk overview of FPSO Project Execution

Qualifications Required
5-10 years
- Specialist Knowledge: Mechanical engineering, Norwegian regulations
 - Oil&Gas: Experience from the Oil&Gas Industry development projects, with preference for FPSO background
