Developers Conference in Calgary
On September 23, the Developers Conference was held in Calgary, Canada, with around 30 participants in attendance. The conference covered a range of topics related to development in Omega 365, including Scope Items and Workflows, new features and possibilities, as well as AI development.
Published: 21. October 2025“The goal of the gathering was to share more knowledge about Omega with both developers and BA/SMEs, and to facilitate knowledge exchange and good professional discussions. According to the feedback, participants were positive about both the content and the format,” says Peter Øren, Department Manager for Omega 365 Software.
In addition to Scope Items, Workflows, and AI Development, there were presentations on performance tuning in Omega 365 and the available tools. IDE solutions, Notification Stream, Homepage Layouts, AccessKeys, and Permissions were also on the agenda.
Deputy General Manager in Omega 365 Singapore, Gerald Soh Yi De, was one of the participants.
“Attending the Developers Conference in Calgary was energising and eye-opening. We gained firsthand insight into upcoming innovations from the technology team, especially around Scope Items and workflows that will help us better meet clients' needs. The Insight pages in Omega 365 also highlighted process areas we can fine-tune to boost performance and deliver even greater value,” he says after attending the conference.
Business analyst Ellis Lam also found the conference highly useful.
“The Developers Conference in Calgary was a fantastic event—very informative and well-organized. While I'm not a developer myself, I attended as a Business Analyst and found the sessions incredibly valuable. I especially appreciated the deep dive into the latest scope item features. Developer Day was perfectly timed to help us stay current with new content and gave us a great opportunity to ask questions and engage with the team”.
There are currently no gatherings planned, but Peter Øren holds the doors open.
“The experience from Calgary clearly shows the benefit of meeting, sharing knowledge, and discussing development in a common forum,” he says.
